Privacy & Data Security Associate; Attorney

Overview

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, is seeking a highly qualified associate with two to four years of privacy and data security experience to join our firm.

• Counsel clients on privacy and data security matters, including regulatory compliance, governance and transactions.
• Assist with incident response, investigations and/or litigation (experience a plus but not a prerequisite).
• Develop proactive programs to comply with federal, state, and international cybersecurity and privacy laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with teams on privacy considerations in relation to emerging technologies (including artificial intelligence), advertising and marketing, and product development.

• Two to four years of meaningful privacy and data security experience in an in-house or law firm environment
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong research and analytical skills
• Bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction in which you plan to practice

The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity. Additional medical, financial and/or other benefits will be offered dependent on the position.

US Pay Range: $225,000—$295,000 USD
