The Associate Attorney will be responsible for all aspects of the workers’ compensation case, including evaluating the merits of the case, providing guidance and counsel to clients through effective communication, medical review, and negotiating, settling and litigating cases, if necessary.
Essential Job Functions- Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation cases of varying degrees of complexity
- Create litigation plans
- Create budget plans, if necessary
- Conduct discovery
- Travel to court and other appearances
- Try cases while maintaining exceptional client interaction
- Compose motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Prepare cases for trial
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties to effectively represent clients
- Have strong negotiation and communication skills
- Have at least 5 years of experience in the defense of workers’ compensation cases
