Job Description And Duties
Under the general direction of the Information Technology Supervisor (ITSup II), the incumbent will provide technical support to the Department involving database driven web technology. The incumbent will develop e-government interactive web sites. This position will serve as a technical lead analyst on developing a wide variety of web applications for the Department of Justice (DOJ). The position performs programming analysis, design, and evaluation of the most complex data processing problems or systems.
The incumbent will assist management in project portfolio planning by providing consultation, leadership, and technical expertise related to activities required to insure proper development, implementation, and maintenance of the DOJ’s web development projects. On many projects, the incumbent will be expected to act as the Project Manager utilizing project management methodologies to help ensure successful completion of projects. The incumbent is expected to mentor and train journey level staff and act at the highest professional level providing support to customers such as divisional programs, management and executive level staff.
The incumbent will work closely with the ITS IIs on web configurations, containerization and docker solutions.

B. This range shall apply to persons who meet the Minimum Qualifications for the classification and who have also completed two years of satisfactory additional experience performing duties equivalent to or higher than an Information Technology Specialist I.

C. This range shall apply to persons who meet the Minimum Qualifications for the classification and who have also completed four years of satisfactory additional experience performing duties equivalent to or higher than an Information Technology Specialist I. When the requirements for the criteria are met and upon recommendation of the appointing power, the employee shall receive a rate under the provisions of California Code of Regulations, title 2, section 599.676.
Upon movement to Range C, the employee shall receive a rate under the provisions of California Code of Regulations, title 2, section 599.674 shall apply.
