Exciting opportunity for an experienced Biomolecule Specialist to support our growing customer base across Korea.
This role will focus on pre-sales and post-sales application support for our Large Molecule portfolio. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical expertise to customers across biopharma, CDMO, CRO, academic, and research institutes—supporting workflows from upstream biodiscovery through downstream purification and chromatography processes. Acting as a trusted technical partner, you will work closely with customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders across Korea and the wider APAC organisation.
Key Responsibilities Customer & Technical Support- Provide expert application support through on-site visits, remote sessions, phone, and email
- Deliver hands‑on demonstrations, workflow consultation, method development guidance, and on‑site training
- Support installation start‑up, performance confirmation, and troubleshooting to ensure successful customer outcomes
- Assist with chromatography media selection, column usage, and downstream purification optimisation
- Partner closely with the local Sales team to identify, develop, and maximise Large Molecule opportunities
- Support technical discussions to shape opportunities and influence customer specifications
- Contribute to account planning and strategic customer development in Korea
- Provide competitive insights and structured field feedback to improve win rates and positioning
- Support the integrated Large Molecule portfolio across Core/Discovery (e.g., Phy Tip, Phy Prep) and Astrea/Process chromatography solutions
- Ensure seamless customer workflow support from biodiscovery through process purification
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of bioprocess trends, chromatography technologies, and competitive landscape in Korea
- Coordinate with APAC application and product teams for joint customer projects
- Contribute to customer‑facing technical materials including application notes, posters, presentations, and workflow guides (English and Korean as required)
- Present scientific and technical content at seminars, workshops, and conferences
- Support distributor enablement and technical training sessions
- Provide structured market feedback to Product Management and Marketing
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred; PhD a plus)
- Strong understanding of protein purification and chromatography principles
- Hands‑on experience in downstream bioprocessing, chromatography media, or purification workflows
- Experience in application support, process development, or technical sales within biopharma or CDMO environments preferred
- Ability to translate complex scientific workflows into clear customer value
- Comfortable working in laboratory environments and at customer sites
- Self‑driven, resilient, and able to manage multiple projects in parallel
- Strong interpersonal skills with a trusted advisor mindset
- Fluent Korean (required) and business‑level English (oral and written)
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Protein A and other affinity or ion‑exchange chromatography media
- Familiarity with process‑scale purification systems
- Experience working with integrated discovery‑to‑process workflows
- Prior experience in customer‑facing scientific or applications roles
Travel will be frequent within Korea, with occasional travel to APAC and global locations (UK/US) for training and customer support as required.
