We ensure critical production applications are available 24/7 for customers.
- Perform configuration and maintenance activities for Enterprise Tax Systems (ETS) production and non‑production environments.
- Collaborate with bureau and Technical Services Division (TSD) staff on planning and software implementation activities.
- Coordinate infrastructure and release activities, including scheduling outages for application and OS patch upgrades.
- Define, document, implement, and enforce configuration management processes and procedures to ensure the health and stability of environments.
- Promote teamwork and cooperation consistent with department values.
- Establish and maintain relationships with representatives from across divisions.
- Experience using or administering products such as Open Shift Container Platform, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, Tableau, Jupyter Notebook, SPSS Statistics, IBM MQ/ACE.
- Self‑starter who proactively collaborates with teams and works well under minimal supervision.
- Strong conceptual thinking, communication, and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex business and technical requirements.
- Team‑oriented interpersonal skills; ability to build partnerships and communicate effectively with a broad range of people and roles.
- Ability to resolve highly complex issues across multiple technical areas and departmental business areas.
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile development framework and knowledge of best practices.
- Experience with incident reporting and resolution software like Service Now, MS Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Azure Dev Ops Server, CA Service Desk, or similar.
- Experience with application automation using tools like Ansible and Jenkins.
