The incumbent works under the direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, Chief, Application Development and Support Unit 3. The Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) Business Architect leads, supports, and administers software design and development for CDPH’s enterprise platform services in a Dev Ops environment. Serves as a technical business analyst and scrum leader writing technical user stories, working with Product Owners to understand business requirements, and acts as a liaison between business and the technical team for mission critical applications and systems.
The ITS I is considered a technical specialist supporting the development and maintenance of low code/no code platform systems and/or software applications. The ITS I leads and/or directs projects involving application and database development, technical system configuration, performance tuning, and problem resolution.
The ITS I performs duties within the Software Engineering domain.
