SAP IS-U Functional Consultant – Customer & AMI Technologies

We are seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Functional Consultant to provide operational and project support for the Customer and AMI Technologies team. This role will focus on managing enhancement requests, incident resolutions, and supporting project initiatives while enabling the core team to focus on large-scale transformation initiatives such as S/4

HANA implementation.

Responsibility to ensure business continuity and system stability within the Customer and AMI Technologies landscape by addressing incidents, implementing enhancements, and supporting ongoing and upcoming projects.

• Provide day-to-day functional support for incidents related to SAP Customer and AMI Technologies.
• Manage and deliver enhancement requests and small projects based on business priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and task handoffs.
• Support testing and validation activities to maintain high-quality system performance.
• Respond to incidents and requests promptly to prevent business disruptions.
• Contribute to project documentation, including process flow diagrams and functional specifications.
• Coordinate with technical teams (e.g., ABAP developers) to define and refine custom development requirements.
• Participate in business requirement review sessions and blueprinting workshops.

• Timely and accurate resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Continued progress on enhancement and project deliverables.
• Reduced backlog and improved system performance during ongoing modernization initiatives.

• Minimum 5 years designing and configuring complex SAP solutions within the last 10 years.
• At least 3 years hands‑on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 (EHP7 or higher).
• Minimum 1 year experience with SAP CRM 7.0 (EHP3 or higher).
• Strong functional expertise in SAP IS‑U CR&B, with experience in one or more of the following:
  Customer Service;
  Device Management (smart meters, Itron Networks UIQ stack);
  Rates and Pricing;
  Billing and Invoicing;
  Bill Print;
  Workflows; FI‑CA.
• Experience with master data components and business partner lifecycle management.
• At least 2 years hands‑on experience performing end‑to‑end functional, technical, and regression testing of complex solutions, including integrations with external systems.
• Experience using Service Now or JIRA for defect and incident tracking.
• Experience in business requirement reviews, blueprint sessions, and translating business needs into functional specifications.
• Proven experience creating process flow diagrams and debugging custom code.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience facilitating or leading business requirement and blueprint sessions.
• Experience working in agile environments.
• Hands‑on experience designing and configuring complex IS‑U rates, rate categories, and billing schemas.
• Experience with in the electric or utilities sector, supporting systems such as SAP S/4

  Itron Meter Data Management System; MDUS/ISAIM EhP7 or higher.
