We’re seeking a dynamic Business Technology Consultant (BTC) to join our Client Success Team in Sacramento. In this consulting and billable service delivery role, you’ll bridge the gap between technical expertise and client relationships, acting as a strategic IT advisor and trusted partner. You’ll align technology with business goals, deliver high‑quality consulting services, and drive client success through our Navigate Digital Transformation processes.
Success depends on your ability to learn, provide outstanding client service, build trust, and meet billable goals while collaborating with internal teams like IT Services, Professional Services, and Procurement. - Client Advisement and Relationship Building:
Portray the value of Leverage IT’s services through first‑class client service, build strong relationships, and become an expert in our branded services, Navigate Digital Transformation processes, and digital maturity advisory tools. Identify opportunities to sell Navigate services to prospects and clients. - Strategic Planning and Consulting:
Plan and execute annual consulting sessions, prepare Business Technology Best Practice Planning documents, create annual client IT budgets, and deliver Navigate Digital Transformation services, including advisory sessions, executive reports, project portfolio reviews, and strategic planning meetings. - Technology Assessments and Best Practices:
Conduct regular reviews of client systems to identify risks, improvement opportunities, and new technologies. Ensure adherence to industry networking best practices, coordinate asset rotation plans, and work with IT Best Practice Engineers to maintain optimal technology environments. - Project and Vendor Management:
Coordinate technology implementations, migrations, and multi‑part projects with internal specialists and external resources. Recommend vendors (e.g., Ingram Micro, Dell, Cisco) and manage third‑party solutions for timely, effective delivery. - Budget and Opportunity Management:
Balance advisement work within client budgets, spot upsell opportunities, deliver quotes and solutions tactfully, and handle contract renewals while optimizing underperforming accounts. - Cybersecurity and Compliance:
Advise on best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), collaborating with security experts. - Process Optimization and Reporting:
Use tools like Connect Wise Sell, Manage, Automate, Product Database; vCIO Toolbox; IT Glue; and Microsoft Productivity Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to streamline workflows, document work, record time, and deliver clear quarterly updates and executive reports. - Daily Management:
Organize priorities, balance high‑priority tasks with immediate needs, and participate in client project reviews and meetings to ensure seamless service delivery. Meet billable consulting goals while fostering client growth and satisfaction.
