GIS (ESRI) Technical Analyst

Duration: 12 months

We are seeking an experienced GIS (ESRI) Technical Analyst to support an enterprise IT portfolio through 2026. This role will focus on geospatial data integration, enterprise geodatabase design, and ESRI-based application development, supporting multiple operational initiatives and enhancement requests.

The selected consultant will work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and project teams to design, implement, and support scalable geospatial solutions aligned with enterprise data and integration standards.

• Analyze business and data integration needs to define and document ESRI database and schema requirements for geospatial datasets.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify schema structures, data relationships, and system integration points.
• Design, build, and implement an ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase to centrally manage geospatial data.
• Configure data models, spatial references, access controls, and security settings per documented requirements.

• Support virtual server deployments to meet ESRI system requirements.
• Assist with installation and configuration of SQL Server and ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Geodatabases.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and application administration teams for server provisioning and deployment.

• Develop and configure feature classes within the ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase to support integrations with multiple systems.
• Define feature class schema complexity based on business and integration requirements.

• Develop and support integrations between ESRI platforms and other enterprise systems using APIs, REST services, and database-level integrations.
• Enable seamless data exchange with ESB and other internal or external platforms.

• Create and configure ESRI web maps and feature services, including schema and data integrations.
• Publish services to ESRI REST endpoints to support enterprise mapping applications.

• Design, enhance, and deploy ESRI-based mapping applications using newly integrated datasets.
• Ensure solutions meet usability, performance, scalability, and security best practices.

• Produce comprehensive technical documentation in accordance with organizational standards.
• Support knowledge transfer activities to ensure long‑term maintainability and continuity.

• Strong expertise in GIS concepts, spatial analysis, and industry-standard GIS tools.
• Hands‑on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise (Server, Portal, Data Store).
• Experience with ESRI mobile solutions such as Survey
  123, Collector, and Runtime.
• Proven experience with ESRI ArcGIS SDE.
• Experience developing, deploying, and supporting GIS server technologies.
• Strong database experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server, including procedures and database operations.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing ESRI Enterprise Geodatabases.
• Experience publishing and maintaining feature services and web map services.
• Strong experience configuring map layers (symbology, pop‑ups, scale dependencies, filters, and queries).

• Experience working with utility or infrastructure‑related spatial data.
• Recent hands‑on ESRI project experience, certifications, or formal ESRI training.
