Join Altera as a Compensation Analyst. We are looking for a contractor for 9 months to support our compensation team.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to provide compensation guidance during hiring, promotion, and organizational planning processes.
- Participate in compensation surveys, analyze results, and synthesize insights to inform compensation program design and market positioning.
- Analyze job roles, salary data, compensation structures, and workforce trends using advanced data analysis techniques to support equitable pay decisions and broader compensation strategy.
- Support Workday enhancements related to compensation by partnering with HRIS, testing system updates, identifying improvement opportunities, and validating ongoing data integrity.
- Conduct ongoing data audits to ensure accuracy of job, pay, and employee data across HR systems, driving continuous improvement in data quality and process reliability.
- Maintain, update, and audit compensation databases, tools, and systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
The pay range below is for Bay Area California only. Actual salary may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. We also offer incentive opportunities that reward employees based on individual and company performance.
$90K - $130K USD
We use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position. Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 2 - 5 years of experience in compensation analysis or related HR role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems.
- Familiarity with compensation survey tools (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson).
- Knowledge of FLSA, EEOC, and other relevant labor laws.
- Excellent communication skills.
