Education & Experience
- Master's degree in a related field AND at least 2 years of approved experience*
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field AND at least 4 years of approved experience*
- Associate's degree AND a minimum of 6 years of approved experience*
- Spanish Speaking Preferred
* Approved experience is experience that qualifies the applicant for Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) status in the County Children’s Mental Health System of Care. Graduate education may be substituted for the experience on a year for year basis
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Position Specific
- Writes clear, accurate, and timely progress notes consistent with each contact/visit
- Participates in the development of individualized family plans with other members of the TBS team
- Attends weekly staff meetings, consultation, and case management meetings as scheduled
- Accountable for individual time management
- Develops and maintains positive relationships with agency and community programs
- Utilizes resources to utilize behavior interventions and strategies
- Forms positive, constructive relationships with children and their families
- Identifies strengths, skills, and positive qualities in children and families
- Identifies temporary and sustainable resources and services within family and community environments
- Observes and evaluates behavior, then completes a Functional Behavioral Analysis
- Utilizes the Functional Behavioral Analysis to implement change programming
- Records behavioral data to ensure accurate tracking of target behavior change
- Makes recommendations to modify goals as indicated by behavioral data
- Makes recommendations for all phases of treatment, including termination of TBS services
- Maintains accurate and timely records
- Follows all agency policies and procedures
- Follows all agency, State and Federal health and safety rules and regulations
- Seeks out clinical information and advice as needed, accepts constructive feedback and reasonable recommendations from supervisor
- Maintains ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the families

- Performs all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values of agency, while adhering to applicable professional codes of ethics, the agency’s policies and procedures, contractor requirements, and regulatory requirements.
- Model and communicate appropriate positive attitudes toward the agency’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Work collaboratively with all agency programs and staff to provide support as needed
- Utilize and maintain calendar with all work-related details in order to manage time effectively and share calendar information with coworkers
- Participate in on-going training to expand and develop professional skills
- Perform other duties as necessary for the agency, as assigned

Salary
Behavior Analyst I (AA/BA) = $28.00 - $40.00 hourly DOE
Behavior Analyst II (MA) = $70,720 - $90,000 annually DOE
