Overview
The Billing Analyst works closely with Cancer Center management and staff, providers and personnel from departments throughout UCDH. This person plays a critical role in the performance of compliance, fiscal and administrative services, including billing compliance, medical record abstraction, invoicing, and financial reports. The role of the Billing Analyst is to provide routine analysis and validation of clinical services and procedure charges and external billing.
This position is responsible for comprehensive medical record review and analysis to determine the appropriateness of clinical visit and procedure evaluation charges for billing and reimbursement purposes and for inclusion on the Medicare Cost Report. Job duties will include working within the different Cancer Center charge work queues and entering reimbursement charges from invoices received from outside vendors. This position reports directly to the Cancer Center Clinic Ambulatory Care Administration Supervisor.
