• Performs journey‑level professional casework and clinical services with mentally and emotionally disturbed clients
• Assesses and monitors clients’ behaviors while in treatment for chemical and alcohol abuse and dependency.
• Works as a team member with other professionals
• Participates in evaluative and diagnostic staff conferences
• Conducts individual, family, and group therapy; interviews clients and relatives
• Participates in collaborative treatment with representatives of other agencies
• Prepares verbal, written, and statistical reports
• Attends conferences, workshops, and training to maintain current awareness of mental health methodologies and issues
• Operates a personal computer and other office equipment
• Communicates effectively with others in person and over the telephone
• Analyze data, interpret directions, procedures and regulations, and develop appropriate responses
• Perform job duties under stressful conditions
• May be assigned some lead and special work coordination responsibilities

• Must obtain and maintain a license as a mental health professional regulated by a state board (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC)
• Must possess a master’s degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or counseling.
• Have at minimum two‑year experience in Drug and Alcohol counseling.
• Very familiar with HIPAA/client confidentiality and personal rights.
• Must possess a current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License

• Two to five years of experience in drug and alcohol counseling
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Required

Education:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of practice.

• Minimum of five years of clinical experience in a therapeutic setting, with at least two years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven track record of working with diverse populations, including individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
• Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team of therapists effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in evidence‑based therapeutic techniques and modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices and standards.
