The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) is committed to effectively delivering essential Public Health services through strong and effective Partnerships. CDPH strives to be a learning, healing, and impactful organization, with the Program Support Division (PSD) providing Program assistance to the Department in that mission.

The PSD is in downtown Sacramento in the East End Complex within a mile of the Golden 1 Center, SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center, and the State Capitol. Additionally, there are a half dozen coffee shops and multiple Michelin recognized restaurants within a 10-minute walk (less if you utilize CDPH’s Bikeshare Program).

Job Description And Duties

This Analyst II position supports the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) mission and strategic plan by independently performing the more responsible, varied and technical analysis and coordination for the development of the more complex service contract and grant administration functions of multiple Departmental programs.

This is a 12 month Limited-Term Full-Time position that may be extended or become Permanent.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate s relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with some degree of independence.
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Can provide technical advice and consultative services to various levels of staff.
  • Knowledge or experience with the contracting and procurement processes.
