Resident Assistant / Caregiver

All shifts: AM / PM / NOC / ON-CALL

Pay range: $17-19/HR

Location: ACC Senior Services – Greenhaven/Pocket, Sacramento

The Caregiver / Resident Assistant provides supportive and complementary care for residents, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and toileting, conducting activity programs for residents with dementia, and basic medical record documentation.

• Maintain a warm and welcoming environment for residents and coworkers.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) promoting comfort, safety, and dignity.
• Respond promptly to call signals and provide support or redirection for residents with cognitive changes.
• Recognize and respect residents’ emotional, social, cultural, and religious needs; report changes in attitude, behavior, or physical ability to the Shift Supervisor or Resident Care Coordinator.
• Conduct and assist with recreational activities.
• Communicate effectively and clearly with health‑care professionals.
• Develop positive relationships with residents, families, and visitors while preserving resident privacy.

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a Caregiver or Resident Assistant preferred; training provided for qualified candidates.
• Caring and compassionate attitude toward older adults; strong customer‑service orientation.
• Effective English communication skills, verbal and written required; bilingual a plus.
• Complete caregiver training as required by Title 22 prior to providing direct care, and annually thereafter.
