Medical Assistant – Part TimeThe Medical Assistant supports the medical and nursing staff in providing care and comfort to infant, toddler, preschool, school-age, adolescent, and young adult patients during outpatient clinic appointments. In addition, the Medical Assistant is responsible for phlebotomy and assisting with the application and removal of casts. This position is part time, non-exempt, and health insurance eligible. The pay range for this position is $27.88 - $39.36 per hour.
Compensation is determined by experience and department equity.
- Collect and report data to assist the multidisciplinary team in the evaluation of patient needs
- Perform comprehensive registration and scheduling functions
- Demonstrate open, accurate, and timely communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective therapeutic interventions
- Provide routine clinical and clerical tasks to support patient care
- Assist with cast application and removal and phlebotomy procedures
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience
