Psychiatric Technician (Safety) – California State Prison, Sacramento

Represa, CA (SAC) – California State Prison, Sacramento

Pay Range: $6,134.00 – $7,843.00 per year (base pay).

• Provide basic general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in accordance with the Mental Health Program Guide.
• Deliver health care under valid authorization by a provider’s order and delegation under the Registered Nurse (RN).
• Support the care team for daily health care operations and communicate effectively with patients and other care team members.
• Address ongoing needs of patients and promote efficient, appropriate, and cost‑effective use of health care resources.

• Valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
• Pass the examination required for the Psychiatric Technician (Safety) appointment (Cal Careers).
• Experience and training in general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care.
