The Radiology Workflow Support Specialist (RWSS) is a critical frontline support role responsible for maintaining uninterrupted radiologist workflows and ensuring timely, high-quality patient care. Acting as the first point of contact for operational and workflow-related issues, the RWSS supports radiologists in real time, resolves common workflow disruptions, and coordinates escalations with IT, PACS, and vendor support teams when needed.
This role is operational and workflow-focused, not a system build, PACS administration, or engineering position.
Full-Time Salaried Positions (3 openings)- Annual salary range: $50,000 – $70,000, based on experience and qualifications

- Serve as the primary operational contact for radiologists during assigned coverage hours
- Respond promptly to real-time requests related to:
- Study access and availability
- Worklist issues
- Hanging protocol or viewer display concerns
- Workflow interruptions impacting reading efficiency
- Provide calm, efficient support in high-acuity and time-sensitive clinical situations
- Support call-center style workflows, including call handling, prioritization, and tracking
- Assist with study routing, reassignment, and verification of correct destinations
- Confirm study completeness, image availability, and report visibility
- Monitor radiologist worklists for stuck, duplicated, delayed, or misrouted exams
- Identify workflow issues before they escalat

- Perform initial triage of PACS, RIS, dictation, reporting, and viewer-related issues
- Validate user access, missing images, performance concerns, and dictation problems
- Distinguish operational issues from system-level problems requiring escalation
- Escalate unresolved issues to PACS administrators, IT teams, or vendors with complete and accurate documentation
- Remain engaged through resolution, ensuring follow-through and communication back to the radiologist
- Act as a liaison between clinical users and technical support teams
- Document all interactions, actions taken, and outcomes in the designated ticketing system
- Provide proactive status updates to radiologists and stakeholders
- Maintain clear, professional communication under pressure
- System configuration, build, or administrative changes
- Clinical interpretation or medical decision-making
- Vendor engineering or software development functions
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of radiology workflows and terminology
- Working knowledge of PACS, RIS, and radiology reporting/dictation systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on clinical urgency and patient impact
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
