Job Summary
The Mammography Technologist Per Diem specializes in screening and diagnostic mammograms following ACR guidelines. Responsibilities include positioning patients, operating mammography equipment, ensuring accurate image capture, maintaining patient records, and adhering to safety protocols. The candidate must be available to travel to other UC facilities for coverage. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and compassionate care are required.
Key Responsibilities- Perform general mammography technologist duties (90%)
- Complete general department functions and additional mammography duties (10%)
- ARRT Certification or CRT
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR
- Valid CRT CA State License (Diagnostic Radiologic Technology)
- Valid CRT CA Mammography State License
- ARRT Mammography Credential
- Up to date on state requirements for Mammography Performance
- Graduation from a JRCERT accredited radiologic technologist program
- Comprehensive understanding of mammography imaging and radiology equipment
- Physical ability to perform all functions of a mammography technologist
- A.S. in Radiologic Science/Radiologic Technology
- 1 year of experience in mammography
