• Demonstrates competency in speech pathology for pediatric, adult, or geriatric patients as applicable for the site/level of care of employment.
• Provides patient assessments, develops and implements individual patient treatment programs, and provides therapeutic interventions utilizing current and effective methodologies.
• Maintains effective documentation.
• Evaluations are completed according to department protocol, within 48 hours of initiating the evaluation.
• Provides effective and adequate treatment following department guidelines; ongoing assessment of treatment effectiveness; modifies goals and treatment as appropriate.
• Patient/family education and training; demonstrates a variety of teaching methods appropriate to the level of understanding.
• Complies with department policy regarding documentation (timely, concise, legible, correct grammar, medical terminology, and approved abbreviations).
• Communication & Collaboration with Team/MD: appropriately communicates treatment plans and patient status with team and MD; participates in team conferences; addresses verification of payer guidelines/authorizations timely; solicits feedback to improve teamwork and collaboration.
• Delegates to and supervises support staff and students, providing appropriate clinical supervision and feedback.
• Demonstrates appropriate time management needed to meet productivity standards per department policy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested in a professional manner.

• Previous experience as a Speech Pathologist preferred.

• Speech Language Pathologist License
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association
