Essential Duties:This Respiratory Therapist PRN is responsible for patients with respiratory and respiratory-related equipment. The Respiratory Therapist PRN assesses patient needs, selects, instructs, and troubleshoots appropriate equipment or services, and maintains documentation.
Responsibilities:- Receive and document orders for respiratory equipment and services from customer service, patients, caregivers, physicians, or family members.
- Gather additional information or documentation needed from insurance or physicians.
- Assess patient needs and determine the best respiratory therapy or services required.
- Provide instruction and education on the proper use and care of respiratory equipment, following policies and procedures for patients, families, or caregivers.
- Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient condition or needs and adjust the Plan of Care accordingly.
- Complete patient paperwork, including Plans of Care and assessments.
- Serve as a liaison between Super Care Health, patients, families, caregivers, and physicians.
- Take responsibility for your actions, skills, and professional attitude.
- Follow all policies and procedures outlined by JCAHO.
- Conduct follow-up visits for respiratory patients and assist with continuity of care as needed.
- Provide 24/7 on-call service as scheduled.
- Set up respiratory equipment within scheduled appointment times to ensure patient satisfaction.
- Support marketing and other departments as needed.
- Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with patients.
- Support Super Care Health by being loyal and reporting concerns or problems.
- Adhere to all company policies.
- Remain knowledgeable about all products and services.
- Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment.
Work Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited RT Care Program (licensed RCP).
- Experience as a Respiratory Therapist PRN.
- Thorough knowledge of respiratory care.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- People-sensitive with a genuine desire to help others.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of background checks, reference checks, driving record (if applicable), pre-employment drug and TB tests.
