The Health Program Specialist II has primary responsibility for serving as the lead of the Behavioral Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission’s grants and technical assistance programs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Meet weekly with designated staff assigned to support monitoring of assigned contracts;
• Keep the supervisor informed about challenges to implementation, program successes, and strategies to enhance and sustain the programs;
• Act as liaison between the program and other state agencies as assigned;
• Coordinate between multiple contractors and grantees, as necessary to ensure timely completion of deliverables;
• Document and convey all challenges to implementation and success of grantees and contractors;
• Create and present summary materials to the Commission on the progress of grantees and contractors;
• Plan and facilitate meetings with grantees, contractors, and external stakeholders;
• Provide high-level analysis of program implementation, grantee progress toward goals, including sustainability;
• Prepare position papers and policy recommendations for consideration by the Commission;
• Coordinate the secure collection, transfer, and receipt of grantee data to comply with Commission policies and procedures.
