- Lead the story of Sacramento: preserving, showcasing, and honoring its history. This role leads the Center for Sacramento History, guiding programs, collections, and stories that connect residents to the city’s past.
- Shape exhibitions, educational programs, research, and digital access while ensuring Sacramento’s history is told in inclusive, meaningful, and engaging ways.
- Partner with community groups, tribal governments, cultural institutions, and universities to ensure historic sites, monuments, and public spaces reflect the full diversity of Sacramento’s story.
- A collaborative, culturally competent leader with strong experience in public history, archives, museums, or related fields.
- Proven management skills and professional credibility.
- A passion for community engagement and inclusive storytelling.
