Overview
Under the general direction of the Special Agent Supervisor, the Analyst I (AN I) is responsible for the administration of the calls for service project which includes: contacting various law enforcement agencies on a quarterly basis to inquire about the amount of calls for police service or self-initiated law enforcement activity that have been received at licensed gambling establishments; reviewing initial information as received and determining which calls require additional information and requesting full criminal reports from various law enforcement agencies;
collecting, analyzing, and reviewing incident reports as received from licensed gambling establishments and comparing with calls for service from law enforcement to ensure compliance with the gambling control act and maintaining appropriate professional relationships with other law enforcement agencies in requesting and receiving information. The incumbent is responsible for preparing reports for submission to the California Gambling Control Commission (Commission) for consideration during card room licensure renewals and ensuring appropriate personally identifying information is redacted from reports submitted to the Commission.
- Contact various law enforcement agencies on a quarterly basis to inquire about the amount of calls for police service or self-initiated law enforcement activity at licensed gambling establishments.
- Review initial information and determine which calls require additional information; request full criminal reports from relevant agencies.
- Collect, analyze, and review incident reports from licensed gambling establishments and compare with law enforcement calls to ensure compliance with the Gambling Control Act.
- Maintain appropriate professional relationships with other law enforcement agencies in requesting and receiving information.
- Prepare reports for submission to the California Gambling Control Commission for consideration during card room licensure renewals.
- Ensure personally identifying information is redacted from reports submitted to the Commission.
