• Under the direction of the Supervisor II in the Office of Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Programs, support the development and administration of Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) and EEO programs.
• Assist with day-to-day activities to ensure Cal OES compliance with applicable laws, rules, and policies in WVP and EEO domains.
• Support WVP Plan implementation by coordinating with WVP team members, creating and maintaining records, and conducting investigations.
• Analyze and consult on EEO matters and conduct investigations related to EEO protected categories.
• Contribute to duties related to Cal OES’s Upward Mobility Program, LEAP, language access services, employment demographics reporting, or organizational training as assigned.
• Assist with tasks related to managing EEO compliance for Cal OES grantees as needed.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on topics related to federal and state civil rights and workplace violence prevention laws.
• Refer to the Duty Statement for additional information on duties and responsibilities.

• Desirable qualifications include the factors used to competitively evaluate candidates, such as the ability to conduct investigations or assessments, facilitate stakeholder meetings, strong report-writing skills, ability to organize documentation or manage case files, and ability to handle confidential or sensitive information.

• Hybrid Telework: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Additional in-office days may be required based on business need.
• Conflict of Interest (COI): This position is designated under the COI Code and requires completion of Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Non-compliance may void the appointment.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive and may require relocation to emergency sites.
