Under the direction of the supervisor, the Analyst II is responsible for providing subject matter expertise and staff support related to vehicle equipment laws, regulations, and policy pertaining to conventional and autonomous vehicles; administering the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance decal program and contract, the Public Utilities Commission contract, and other contracts; proposing and developing policy updates and changes; conducting research for and drafting departmental forms, correspondence, and publications;
conducting surveys and studies; performing legislative bill analyses; preparing the annual Size & Weight Plan and Certification Reports; maintaining equipment inventory for the Commercial Enforcement Program; and performing other commercial-related analytical duties for the Commercial Vehicle Section staff and management.

Working ConditionsThis position is 40 hours per week in an office setting. An assigned workspace is provided.
