About the OpportunityThe Hazard Mitigation Section consists of a team of dedicated and passionate professionals focused on increasing resiliency and reducing risk to lives and property throughout California. The Section works closely with local communities to enhance their resilience and adapt to the impacts of climate change such as wildfire, flood, sea level rise, drought, and extreme weather, in addition to other hazards such as earthquakes.
The Hazard Mitigation Grants Division, Hazard Mitigation Quality Assurance Division, and Hazard Mitigation Planning Division make up the section.
The Quality Assurance Administrative Support Unit works closely with Mitigation Grants Division, Mitigation Planning Division, and the Assessment Unit to support the overall mission of the Branch. The Quality Assurance Administrative Support Unit Analyst I will perform a variety of less difficult and complex duties relating to monitoring of grant opportunity budgets, reimbursement claims, grant balance sheets, management costs, and other related key performance indicators.
The incumbent will maintain ADA Compliance on the branch webpage, internal/external documents, and presentations. The incumbent must have the ability to use technology for tracking and sharing financial data, data analysis, reporting, and to communicate with stakeholders through the HMA email account and mass notification system. The Analyst I will order materials for the office, track large purchases in FI Cal, and coordinate with building facilities.

- Use creativity and innovation to resolve issues.
- Be proficient in the use of various computer word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications and be willing to learn new technological tools and to incorporate them in daily tasks.
- Demonstrate ability to follow directions, protocols, and procedures.
- Perform both independently and in a cooperative, multi-disciplined team environment.
- Demonstrate ability to read and understand technical and legal documents.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills and demonstrate attention to details.
