Job Description And Duties

Under the direction of the Communications Director, the Outreach Supervisor leads a team dedicated to helping Californians take action on the environment. This position manages key administrative functions and oversees Cal Recycle's outreach strategy, including websites, social media, public outreach campaigns, creative content, and language access services.

The role turns complex waste and recycling policies into clear, engaging information and makes sure all communities have access to vital resources. The incumbent sets priorities, guides staff, manages contracts and budgets, and leads major projects that shape statewide messaging on waste reduction, reuse, and circular systems. This leadership role is for an experienced supervisor who wants to make a difference in California's move toward a waste-free future.

Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred, But Not Required.
