Salary Range: $85,500.00 – $. Positions are funded by the California Department of Industrial Relations.

Labor Compliance Representative

Under the supervision of a Deputy Labor Commissioner III, the incumbent conducts intake consultation assessments for the public, prepares referrals, educates on labor laws, and assesses violations.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake consultation assessments with the public for various programs.
  • Develop and prepare documented referrals to other units.
  • Educate the public on labor laws.
  • Apply theories to assess violations on liable employers.
Qualifications
  • Fluency in Spanish required; must pass the Bilingual Proficiency assessment.
  • Pass the recent Labor Compliance Representative (LCR) exam (new exam issued Dec 15 2025).
  • Submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ).
  • Must be a California State employee or meet list eligibility.
Special Requirements
  • In the SOQ, describe a time when you used your Spanish language skills to assist a member of the public.
