This position is eligible for an additional recruitment and retention pay differential (10% in the first year, and 15% in the second year).

You will need to complete one of the two exams linked below to establish eligibility (please read the exam bulletin in the link provided to determine which eligibility you belong to):
- Analyst I
- Finance Budget Analyst
- Assist the Governor’s administration in making important decisions that impact California’s State Budget.
- Review, analyze, and make recommendations on legislative bills.
- Collaborate with high-level government officials, legislative staff, and various stakeholders.
- Four years of experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties. Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Knowledge of State Government
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and pivot tasks as needed.
