Overview
Business Tax Services - Private Tax Manager - High Net Worth Individuals Private Tax is a growing practice focused on privately held companies, their owners and families, including cross-border and cross-functional work. This role involves serving high-growth private companies and their owners, providing technically demanding tax planning and compliance support, and working with a global team to deliver quality client service.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
- Translating complex data from a range of sources into client-ready insights and deliverables
- Building effective long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs to provide tailored service
- Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
- Maintaining your reputation in the field by updating and sharing technical knowledge and best practices
- Managing, coaching and developing a team of tax professionals, reviewing work and ensuring they have the tools to excel
- Identifying and responding to risks and opportunities to improve services and processes
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with significant tax, business or financial planning experience
- A CPA certification or membership in The Bar
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organizations
- Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation
- Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs)
- Understanding of automated tax processing systems
- Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus
- A commitment to continuing learning
- Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders
- Willingness to travel as needed and to work in a hybrid environment
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- The ability to adapt work style to collaborating with internal and client teams
- Tax professionals with a genuine interest in delivering outstanding services to influential people, from C-Suite executives to owners and families
