IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team. We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer in our Sacramento office. As an Electrical Project Engineer you will be responsible for calculations, system design, equipment selections, reports, progress submittals, BIM instructions for your project, and specifications required to assure project completeness and accuracy within the allocated period and monetary budget.

You will exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of these duties and act as lead engineer on projects, performing complete electrical systems design according to code.

Responsibilities
  • Specify equipment based on project needs and available technologies; research resources for commercially available equipment.
  • Calculate costs and time schedules for proposed work; review files to determine scope and personnel involved.
  • Maintain good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files.
  • Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
  • Document design decisions, meetings, and client instructions promptly while monitoring project design progress related to fee expenditure.
  • Review all project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check.
  • Prepare and issue addendum information.
  • Recognize potential project problems quickly and seek advice from the Project Manager.
  • Review design methods, procedures, changes in scope, and client correspondence with the Project Manager.
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and provide all other services as required by the contract services agreement.
  • Mentor designers and/or technicians.
Key skills and abilities
  • Competency in the technical aspects of one’s discipline.
  • A demonstrated aptitude for managing projects.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs, CAD software and BIM.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written forms.
  • Routine local travel with occasional overnight stays.
Education and experience
  • Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of qualifying experience.
  • Professional Engineering license.
Salary and benefits

Salary Range: $98,000-$127,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options. IMEG Corp. provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
