** AECOM is seeking a Sr. Transportation Highway/Roadway Engineer to be based in Sacramento, CA.

* Job Responsibilities:

**+ Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.+ Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.+ Approves and signs off on work.+ Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.+ Presents complex technical solutions to clients.+ Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.+ Participates in development of technical proposals.+ Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.

* Minimum Qualifications:

**+ BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
*
* Preferred Qualifications:

**+ Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered in California+ Expertise in developing design packages for highway and/or roadway improvement projects in Northern California (must include some Caltrans project experience)+ Experience preparing technical specifications in Greenbook and/or Caltrans format+ Minimum of ten years of technical experience which reflect a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility+ Proficient in the use of and ability to lead others in the use of Microstation, InRoads, Auto Cad and Civil 3D+ Desire to develop Marketing skills+ Able to assist in proposals and presentations+ Participate in professional organizations representing the company.+
