* JOB SUMMARY:

** The Environmental Land Planner will provide environmental planning expertise to assist in obtaining local, state and/or federal permits for projects related to energy, telecommunications, water, or mining industries.
*
* ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Research requirements for a variety of local, state and federal permits
* Collaborate with staff, agencies, clients and other project collaborators to facilitate permit submittals and schedules
* Synthesize and communicate permit stipulations and requirements
* Track and organize permit processes and status
* Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings
* Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright’s and Eocene Environmental Group’s culture of safety and employee ownership
* Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures

* JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*** B.S. degree in environmental planning and/or a closely related discipline
* Strong knowledge of NEPA and/or CEQA
* Minimum 3 years' experience working with or for federal, state, or local agencies
* Ability to perform work duties independently and efficiently with short deadlines
* Highly organized, motivated, thorough, accurate, dependable, and trustworthy
* Ability to interact and coordinate with state, federal, local, and tribal agencies
* Note-taking ability
* Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors
*
* PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

*** M.S. degree in environmental planning and/or a closely related discipline
* 8+ years’ experience working with or for federal, state, or local agencies preferred
* Strong writing and editing skills
* Familiarity with typical utility operations and maintenance activities
* Familiarity with Salesforce and ESRI GIS applications (including desktop, ArcGIS, Collector, Survey
123, etc.)
* Excellent navigation skills and good driving record
* Experience driving a four-wheel drive vehicle off-road or in rough terrain
