UC Davis Health has many different types of construction projects with a range of occupancies that include Healthcare, Research, Student Life and Administrative uses. The scale and complexity of these projects range widely with construction budgets that range from under $100,000 dollars to over $1 billion dollars. This position is one of the plan review staff positions in the Building Department unit and performs plan reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, by appropriate document reviews and field review as required therein for these projects.

This position supports the Certified Building Official’s responsibility for ensuring that all construction projects comply with Title 24, including the administration of the functional building department, interpretation of code requirements, and direction of the code process as it applies to new and existing construction.
