Overview

AVP, Pacific Civil Works Department Manager. This role leads engineering staff of multiple disciplines on water resources projects including dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood protection systems, and conveyance facilities.

• Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unit.
• Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative.
• Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues. Demonstrates understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, and ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence.
• Demonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
• Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.

• Minimum Requirements
  :
  Bachelor s degree and 10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education including 2 years of leadership.
• Preferred Qualifications
  : 20+ years of relevant civil/geotechnical engineering experience; 3+ years of experience developing PS&E packages; 5+ years managing other engineers; experience performing civil/geotechnical design for water resources projects; project management experience;
  Active California PE License or ability to obtain within 6 months;
  Active Geotechnical GE License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
