Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager - Mechanical/HVAC Subcontractor

Are you detail-oriented, strategic, and highly organized? We're a Mechanical/HVAC subcontractor seeking a Project Engineer/Assistant PM to help drive projects from concept to completion while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret plans; perform on-screen takeoffs
• Create project budgets and prepare proposals for customers
• Manage active projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget
• Schedule job-site visits with the Production Team
• Prepare takeoff sheets, determine pricing, and create estimates for specialty projects
• Extract plan details as requested
• Respond to customer and internal team inquiries via phone and email
• Perform additional office duties, tasks, and special projects as assigned

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with AutoCAD and Bluebeam (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and ability to excel in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Prior HVAC or mechanical construction experience a plus
