Sacramento Area Sewer District (Sac Sewer) is currently accepting applications for an Industrial Control Systems Technician position. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadline at 5PM: 1/29/26.
This position is the journey level class in the series and reports to the Industrial Control Systems Supervisor. Under general direction, this class maintains and repairs pneumatic, chemical, electric, and electronic components, analog and digital networks and systems, analysis equipment, computer control equipment’s including computers and computer peripherals and telemetry equipment used in process instrumentation and control systems.
Minimum Qualifications:- Option 1:
Completion of 30 semester (45 quarter) units in instrumentation, electronics, computer systems, control systems or other closely related field; two (2) years full‑time paid experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of industrial instrumentation, control or communication system components; possession of a California Water Environment Association (CWEA) Electrical & Instrumentation Technologist Certificate Grade 2 or higher. - Option 2:
Completion of 30 semester (45 quarter) units in instrumentation, electronics, computer systems, control systems or other closely related field; one (1) year full‑time paid experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of industrial instrumentation, control or communication system components; possession of a CWEA Electrical & Instrumentation Technologist Certificate Grade 2 or higher. - Option 3:
Completion of an associate’s degree in instrumentation, electronics, computer systems, control systems or other closely related field; possession of a CWEA Electrical & Instrumentation Technologist Certificate Grade 2 or higher. - Option 4:
Possession of a CWEA Electrical & Instrumentation Technologist Certificate Grade 3 or higher.
