Software Engineering Project Manager

Corporate Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Partner, Engineering, Consulting, and Technical services What You'll Do

• Technical project execution within the Information Solutions group, which includes budget, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Interface with clients to define and manage scope on complex projects, requiring significant technical knowledge and project management skills.
• Convey a positive image of Design Group and support the development of strong culture consistent with the Guiding Principles of Leadership.
• Support leadership teams in securing engineering engagements with current and future clients, including proposal preparation, estimating, contract negotiation, order processing, and project set‑up.
• Plan project workload and staff projects to ensure proper execution, coordinating communication within the Information Solutions team.
• Leverage firm‑wide standards and procedures for execution, including participation on councils that oversee and adopt these standards.
• Drive projects to completion and dive into technical details to support the team’s direction and execution.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key client contacts.
• Work with finance to ensure proper reporting of activities and project invoicing.

• Minimum 5 years of experience developing and providing automation solutions for consumer products, life science, and/or industrial industries.
• Technical experience architecting and implementing SCADA, MES, data collection/reporting systems across various platforms; strong preference for Ignition, Rockwell, or Wonderware.
• Prior experience as a system integrator is a plus.
• Strong record of successful client interface.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.
• Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements such as installation, start‑up activities, client meetings, company‑sponsored events, trainings, industry seminars, forums, or conventions.
• Minimum B.S. in Engineering preferred, but consideration given to other computer or software degrees based on experience.

The approximate pay range for this position is $130k–$170k. Final compensation may vary based on factors including background, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
