OverviewEY is seeking a motivated professional with solid experience in the utilities sector to serve as a Manager who possesses a robust background in Data Architecture, Data Modernization, end‑to‑end Data capabilities, AI, GenAI, Agentic AI, preferably with a power systems / electrical engineering background and having delivered business use cases in Transmission / Distribution / Generation / Customer. The role focuses on building and maintaining large‑scale AI data‑ready architectures.

Key Responsibilities- Manage and deliver one or more processes, solutions, and projects, focusing on quality and risk management.
- Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research, analysis, and best practices.
- Leverage deep expertise in data architecture, data engineering, and solution design to develop, architect, and present findings, leading junior team members.
- Act as the go‑to resource for understanding clients’ problems and deliver consulting services that align with business goals.
- Sell new business for EY by establishing trust with senior decision makers, communicating value, and challenging clients constructively.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Data Scientists, Business Analysts, IT) to define data requirements, design solutions, and implement data strategies.
- Lead workshops, design sessions, and discussions to capture requirements and align on data architecture strategies.
- Direct and mentor global data architecture and engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Establish data governance policies and practices, including data security, quality, and lifecycle management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance EY’s capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
- 8+ years of professional consulting experience in industry or technology consulting.
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in architecting, designing, delivering or optimizing data lake solutions.
- 3+ years’ experience with native cloud products and services such as Azure or GCP.
- 5+ years of experience mentoring and leading teams of data architects and data engineers.
- In‑depth knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices.
- Proven experience leading large data engineering teams and building complex platforms.
- Hands‑on experience designing end‑to‑end architectures and pipelines.
- Proficiency in data modelling techniques and pattern selection (Data Fabrics, Data Mesh, Lake Houses, Delta Lakes).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience with version control (Git) and Dev Ops practices (Data Ops).
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Master’s degree in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Machine Learning or related experience.
- Experience working at Big 4 or a major utility.
- Experience with cloud data platforms like Databricks.
- Track record of leading and influencing teams with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
