About The Role: Are you a seasoned scheduling veteran ready to take the reins on one of the largest infrastructure projects in the nation? We are seeking a highly experienced Program Master Scheduler to join the Project Controls Office in Sacramento, CA
. This critical role is responsible for the development and maintenance of master schedules for the entire high-speed rail program, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of schedule data to guide executive decisions. You'll play an indispensable part in translating complex design plans into realistic construction timelines and identifying key project risks.
- Schedule Development & Maintenance:
Provide schedule development, continuous maintenance of schedule data, and periodic reporting for all program schedules. - Design Integration:
Identify, develop, and correlate program schedule activities directly with associated program design plans. Detail schedule activities to reflect the duration and basis of the duration for construction elements. - Risk & Reliability Analysis:
Perform reviews and analysis of program schedules for reliability, risk identification, and risk assessments (e.g., identifying utility relocations, environmental/seasonal restrictions, or procurements). - Critical Path Identification:
Identify the longest path and critical schedule items and provide recommendations for increased schedule reliability. - Variance Reporting:
Manage progress, schedule duration changes, and the duration verification basis, while providing periodic updates and documentation to Program/Project Controls. - Forecasting & Correlation:
Review and analyze current in-progress schedules for correlation with future, planned construction schedules (comparing current duration estimates versus future planned estimates).
- Experience:
Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience with increasing responsibility. - Education:
A Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Engineering (or equivalent). - Technical Expertise:
Proficiency and knowledge of computer software applications including Primavera P6, TILOS, Acumen Fuse, and Microsoft (MS) Office Suite. - Domain Knowledge:
Extensive scheduling and project controls experience, with familiarity with rail and roadway transportation projects and disciplines.
- Advanced proficiency in the core software applications:
Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. - Deep familiarity with large-scale rail and roadway transportation projects and disciplines.
