Responsibilities- Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities.
- Create detailed designs of water/wastewater treatment systems and collection systems for municipal projects under instruction from the Project Engineer.
- Prepare plans for water and wastewater systems, write specifications, analysis and study‑level reports, determine design methods, equipment sizing and selection, hydraulics and hydrology modeling, and stormwater collection systems modeling.
- Support projects in the construction phase, including submittal reviews, design clarifications, and construction management / resident engineer services.
- Assist the Senior Engineer with engineering studies, designs, contract documentation preparation, technical report writing, and graphic presentation.
- Perform site layout calculations and routine engineering assignments applying standard techniques and procedures.
- Complete projects with clear objectives, limited variables and perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/treatment projects.
- Work independently on small projects, or assist more‑senior engineers on larger projects.
- Master's degree.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
- Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities.
- AutoCAD and/or Micro Station experience.
- Microsoft Office experience.

Annual salary range: $69,097.00 – $, depending on skills, experience, education and geographical location.
