Operations & Maintenance Technician - IC&E

Overview

Ethos Energy is currently seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician (OMT) for our Sacramento, CA facility. The OMT I&C technician is a multi-craft position which requires the technician to perform all functions related to power plant operations and maintenance but should possess journeyman level instrument and controls skills. The OMT I&C technician will install, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation, controls, CEMS, and electrical systems used in a Combustion Turbine Generating Facility.

This equipment includes, but is not limited to the Combustion Turbine Generators, and auxiliary equipment. OMT I&C technicians strictly adhere to all Ethos Energy safety and environmental policies and procedures.

• Perform piping and conduit installation in the plant for system upgrades and modifications.
• Operate demineralizers, compressors, and turbine components.
• Perform Inspection of Watch on each system within the plant.
• Maintains equipment by tightening fittings, replacing valve packing, gaskets, valves, and gauges.
• Cleaning, replacing, oiling and lubricating other component parts and equipment as required.
• Reads meters, gauges, or automatic devices to record data such as temperature of equipment, vibration of equipment, hours of operation, pressure, and fluid levels, water chemistry to verify operating conditions.
• Performs general housekeeping and continuous improvement of the appearance of the facility.
• Coordinates purchasing with appropriate personnel and vendors.
• Utilizes the facility’s computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

• Journeyman level instrument and controls skills.
• Ability to adhere to safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Experience with basic CMMS usage is preferred (as referenced in responsibilities).
