Job Description And DutiesHybrid Telework Opportunity:
This position can be located in either Sacramento or Los Angeles County.
The Senior Structural Engineer performs construction document review to ensure compliance with the California Building Standards Codes (CBSC) and recommends policies, procedures, and guidelines pertaining to seismic compliance in conformance with Senate Bill (SB) 1953. They assess and recommend approval of evaluation and compliance plans, observe the healthcare facilities to verify compliance with the requirements of SB 1953, and perform preliminary, triage, normal, expedite, and over-the-counter reviews of submittal documents pertaining to the structural engineering work in the design and construction of healthcare facilities as required to ensure compliance with Title 24, California Code of Regulations (CCR).
The engineer maintains current certification/registration with the appropriate licensing board.
This position is subject to the Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests filing requirements, which requires disclosure of certain personal economic interests as determined by the Conflict of Interest Code of the Department of Health Care Access and Information. Pursuant to Government Code section 81008, Form 700 Statement of Economic Interests is public record and will be made available for public inspection.
