Para educator-Independence Facilitator – 7 hrs/day (Foothill Ranch MS/PC#254111)

Position Summary: Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings. Assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning. Supports teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchroom, and play field environs.

$20.33 – $26.87 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement based on experience (new hire maximum step
5).

Foothill Ranch MS

7 hours/day; 5 days/week

Medical, Dental, Vision, and Employee Life Insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (Full district contribution for 6+ hours/day; 50% contribution for 4‑5.99 hours/day).

High school diploma or equivalent required. Successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.

Valid driver’s license, compliance with district skill/competency requirements. May require a valid First Aid/CPR card.

• NCLB Compliance (48 college units or pass the Para educator Proficiency Exam)
• Proof of HS Graduation (High School Diploma, Transcripts, or equivalent such as GED)
• Resume (clear evidence of required experience)
• CPR/First Aid Certificate
