The McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, invites applications from exceptional entry‑level and lateral candidates for up to three full‑time faculty positions to commence at the start of the 2025-26 academic year. Candidates hired into these positions will teach some of their courses in the Global Lawyering Skills program, a three‑semester program focused on legal research, writing, analysis, oral advocacy, and other lawyering skills.

Candidates who are interested in teaching lawyering skills together with academic success and those with a background in library studies are strongly encouraged to apply. A record of teaching and scholarship is preferred, and all candidates should be eager to join a collegial, intellectually engaged, and student‑oriented faculty. We anticipate that these positions will be offered based initially on term contracts but on a track to lead to an indefinite term contract.

However, it is possible that a candidate with a strong scholarly record could be considered on a tenure track.
