This is a hybrid teaching position with classes held in person at the Sacramento Campus. Positions are available for the Spring 2026 semester.

Early Literacy
Course Description
:
Focuses on theoretical principles, relevant curriculum, and pedagogical strategies necessary for developing and maintaining a balanced comprehensive literacy program that addresses the full range of learners in grades PK-3 and includes reading, writing, listening, speaking and critical literacy. Topics include emergent literacy; word analysis; vocabulary development, comprehension strategies; use of digital resources. Candidates will gain experience in PK-3 literacy assessment and planning instruction that is based on students’ strengths and needs.
Qualifications: An earned Master of Education, K-12 teaching experience, and relevant experience.
