Volunteer Reading Tutor (Ages 50+) – Make a Lasting Impact!
Help young readers in Sacramento grow their confidence and love for reading! As a Volunteer Reading Tutor, you’ll work with K–3 students in fun, structured 1:1 or small‑group sessions using a curriculum we provide. No teaching experience needed—just patience, kindness, and a passion for helping kids thrive.
What You’ll Do:- Support early readers with guided activities and read‑alouds
- Encourage and motivate students as a consistent, caring mentor
- Follow simple lesson routines and track attendance
- Join a friendly team and receive all training and materials
Commitment: 4–6 hours per week, 2 days a week during the school year.
