The College of Continuing Education (CCE) offers academically grounded non‑credit courses, contract education, certificates, credentials, graduate programs, and more. Instructors/Facilitators design, deliver, and manage training, engagement sessions, and program administration for adult learners and diverse organizations throughout California.
Responsibilities- Design and develop comprehensive programs, lessons, and materials for synchronous and asynchronous environments.
- Deliver training, programs, or services using approved curriculum.
- Facilitate interactive and engaging sessions for diverse audiences.
- Assess learner understanding and adjust instructional plans as needed.
- Collaborate with CCE and clients on organizational development solutions.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- Perform required administrative duties.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and/or relevant professional certification. Each year of required education may be substituted with one year of relevant experience.
- Experience providing training and/or facilitation to adult audiences in classroom settings.
- Expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Strong andragogical practices for classroom organization, planning, and execution.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and dynamic presentation abilities.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment.
- Subject‑matter expertise in the specified content area.
- For some assignments, an advanced or terminal degree may be required.
- Example content areas:
Leadership, Interpersonal Communications, Change Management, Conflict Management, Process Improvement, Project Management, Coaching and Mentoring.
