Pay RangeBase pay: $20.33/hr – $26.87/hr (9 annual steps). Salary placement is based on experience.
Position Summary: Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings, assists individuals or small groups to enhance learning, and supports teachers with instruction and classroom management in special education and general education classrooms, lunchroom and play field environs.

Work Year: 182 work days per year

Hours: 7 hours per day; 5 days per week
Location: Grant High School
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and employee life insurance available for employees who work 4+ hours per day (full district contribution for 6+ hours; 50% contribution for 4–5.99 hours).
Education and Experience: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics. Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.

Certifications:
May require a valid driver’s license, compliance with district skill/competency requirements, and a valid First Aid/CPR card.
- NCLB Compliance (48 college units or pass the Para educator Proficiency Exam)
- Proof of high‑school graduation (High School Diploma, Transcripts or Equivalent such as GED)
- Resume proving required experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
